TIMELINE: The University of Maryland Art Gallery at 50 showcases a selection of highlights from the Gallery’s permanent collection. Masterpieces on view include works by Rembrandt van Rijn, Honoré Daumier, Lee Krasner, Hans Hofmann, Ryoko Suzuki, John Baldessari, and Andy Warhol, as well as art from Africa, Asia, and South America. The nearly 2,300 objects that make up the Gallery’s holdings are due in large part to the kindness of its supporters and donors over the past five decades.
